Spanning over
a century of presumed history and fabricated experiences, Yearning For Yours
deals with faux-nostalgia and how it is exaggerated by sentiment and popular
culture. Looking at how images shape memories and eventually what is considered
to be fact, these artists make works about or are influenced by time periods,
events, or experiences they were not physically a part of. It is an exploration
in how much history is story and how much memory one can own.
